Bacterin Releases New Demineralized Allograft Cortical Fibers

Product is first release from new 3Demin line.

Belgrade, Mont.-based Bacterin International Holdings Inc., which makes bone graft materials and coatings for medical applications, today announced the launch of a demineralized allograft, 3Demin cortical fibers (pictured left, image courtesy of Bacterin).

3Demin cortical fibers are the first product released in Bacterin’s latest 3Demin product family, and the second new product launched this year. The allografts may be used in a number of orthopedic and reconstructive applications, particularly spinal procedures. The fibers are demineralized using Bacterin’s proprietary processing technology and work to heal bone via regenerative properties.

The 3Demin cortical fibers have been launched to a limited number of surgeons and health facilities for market feedback which has been encouraging. The 3Demin product family will enhance Bacterin’s existing biologic portfolio, and will provide an additional stream of revenue in the latter part of 2014 and into 2015.
